Migratory Monarch butterflies are not the only Monarch butterflies out there.
There are non-migratory Monarch butterflies in Central America, the Caribbean, the Mediterranean Europe and South America. It's so warm there (I miss it🔆) they don't have to go anywhere.
In my country, Colombia, we have them all year!✨
I work with non-migratory Monarch butterflies, raised in nature centers in South America. Those centers care for their habitat, and release butterflies back to the wild.
I receive my Monarch butterflies after their short lifespan (few weeks) ends naturally, and do my best to preserve them into the timeless and meaningful Monarch Butterfly Collection.
